DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Description:

The successful candidate is a self-starter that will lead a team of developers responsible for integrating data into the Teradata enterprise data warehouse by leveraging the IBM Information Server/DataStage Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) software. The candidate will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from inception through post-implementation support, for all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.  This position also requires compliance, legal and audit support.

Primary Responsibilities:

      * Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions that are reusable

     * Understanding of modeling and/or diagramming techniques, with the ability to create process flow diagrams and understand the entity relationship models

     * Document technical designs to ensure clients? needs are captured

     * Research, evaluate, identify alternative design and test approaches, and lead code reviews

     * Teach, mentor, and lead junior developers including best practices

     * Develop ETL code that meets technical specifications and business requirements according to the established designs and framework

     * Proactive and diligent in identifying and communicating development issues and recommending potential solutions

     * Troubleshoot development and operational problems and provide timely solutions

     * Participates in system and integration test; identifies and remedies solution defects

     * Creates other technical deliverable artifacts such as source-to-target mappings, implementation runbooks etc. needed for project implementation

     * Helps in knowledge transfer to the business/client and other technical teams

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualifications:

     * Bachelor Degree

     * 4+ years? experience with SQL, Teradata, Oracle in Unix environment

     * 5+ years? experience in developing applications in a high volume ETL DataStage environment

     * 2+ years? experience in a technical leadership role

     * Strong leadership skills, the ability to lead project meetings, communicate with business stakeholders, and report to management

     * Strong written and verbal communications skills required

     * Experience with scheduling software and Shell Scripting (UNIX/Linux) is strongly desired.

     * Airline/Travel industry experience is a plus

     * Experience in Agile software development is a big plus
     * Solid understanding of data warehousing architecture
     * Attention to detail and maintaining high data quality standards
     * Able to lead team members and also work independently

Sr. Infrastructure Engineer – Phoenix - NetBackup

Description:

 This position is to design, engineer, and deploy systems at American Airlines data centers to backup servers using NetBackup and Data Domain products.  This position will also work with our managed service providers to ensure quality backups in our managed data centers. 

 Responsibilities:

Will assist with the design and the deployment of an enterprise backup solution in all the American Airlines data centers..

Will work to integrate the backup environment with other software platforms throughout the organization.

Works with both centralized and remote backup architecture

Works hand in hand with project managers, other engineers, administrators, and customers to deliver projects on time and in budget.

Develops documentation for requirements, architectural designs, engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as operational policies and procedures.

Develops and documents best practices for system installation, deployment, and operation.

Manages technology proof of concept selection criteria, evaluation, and testing.

Explores and stays abreast of new technologies that can bring value to the organization.

Encourages an environment of sharing and team work among the project teams.


REQUIRED SKILLS:
     * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or 5 to 7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
     * 7 years of experience in the backup engineering field.
     * 3 years of experience with NetBackup.
     * 2 years of experience with Data Domain
     * 3 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
     * Previous experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.
     * Previous experience with NetBackup 7.6.
     * Previous experience with DD Boost for Oracle Rman on Linux, Solaris, and Windows.
     * Previous experience with Cisco UCS or HP ProLiant servers
     * Previous Experience with IBM tape libraries TS3200 and TS3584 and Quantum tape libraries I40 and I80
     * Previous Experience with Data Domain appliances DD7200, DD2500, DD620, DD160 and Data Domain DLM1020 for use with IBM mainframe platform.
     * Previous experience working with VMWare and NetApp backups a plus.
     * Previous experience working with the ITIL and ITSM models.
     * Demonstrates good judgment and experience in technology selection and implementation.

Job Summary

Assist with the company’s federal, state, and local sales and use tax, fuel tax, liquor tax, and property tax compliance.

Principal Job Description:

Reviews and analyzes a variety of corporate data to determine tax compliance and minimization strategies using SAP, InvoiceWorks, ENC Documentum (D2), Walker System, OneSource Tax Engine (formerly Sabrix systems) and other systems

Prepares and files:

sales and use, fuel, and liquor tax returns

Canadian goods and services tax (GST) returns

fuel tax refund claims

various business returns

Assists with preparation and filing property tax returns

Completes tax exemption certificates to ensure maximum benefits are realized

Maintains the resale and exemption certificate database

Researches tax issues for proper application of state and local provisions

Works closely with various departments to gather sales activities required for tax reporting

Clearing tax accounts and reconciling tax payments and account reconciliation

Serves as a company contact and assists during audits by state and local taxing authorities

Communicates with various taxing authorities to resolve various issues, as needed

Completes ad-hoc projects, as assigned


REQUIRED SKILLS:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance

Working knowledge of tax concepts

2 - 3 years’ experience in Accounting or Tax; Corporate Tax experience preferred

Strong analytical and problem solving skills required

Knowledge of SAP, OneSource (formerly Sabrix) preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with outstanding Excel skills

Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects

     * Meet with users on ongoing basis to determine opportunities to automate financial, productivity or operational statistics models
     * Code efficient solutions in Hyperion Planning, Interactive Reporting or MS Access while maintaining best practices across groups

     * Evaluate the best possible solution for users by utilizing all products available in the Hyperion suite (Planning, Essbase, IR, FR, Smartview, Addin, etc)
