DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a wide variety of office duties for one or more management/specialist personnel. The following responsibilities may apply: typing, filing, ensuring telephone coverage, greeting and direction customers, handling mail, ordering office supplies, updating manuals, arranging travel and hotel accommodations. Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports from automated data bases.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* High School diploma or GED
* Minimum typing skill of 25 to 49 W.P.M.
* Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is required
* Ability to use Power Point and SAP is preferred
* Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
* Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
* Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
* Must have acceptable credit for AA Credit Union positions
* Travel to the interview and any subsequent relocation expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Global Investigations Ramp Security Specialist (RSS) is primarily responsible to ensure the safety and security of the customers, employees and corporate assets of American Airlines.
* Conduct security oversight of vendor activities on inbound and departing International flights
* Review statistical data regarding pilferage to observe loading/off-loading process
* Conduct motorized and foot patrols of American Airlines’ operational footprint
* Coordinate with Baggage Service, Cargo, Ramp Service and Customer Care Departments
* Act as a liaison with all levels of law enforcement on criminal and security matters
* Identify risk and suggest solutions to help mitigate loss.
* Assist with the development and implementation of fraud detection/preventions systems
* Become familiar with and enforce all government and airline security regulations
* Perform other duties as required by business needs of the department
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Minimum five years’ law enforcement or military experience
Experienced in conducting witness and suspect interviews
* Strong analytical skill including the ability to research, analyze and present investigative findings
* Ability to pass criminal history check to obtain necessary access media to perform duties
* Strong verbal and written communications skills with attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Ability to change work schedule as dictated by the needs of the department
